I cannot express my gratitude enough for the support I received over the last six months. It has been an interesting journey. Throughout  the 8th District, I met with hardworking North Carolinians who       care about this District and our country. Like them, I wish for a better tomorrow for our grandchildren. I would like to thank all of the volunteers who made phones calls, walked neighborhoods and    worked precincts for my campaign. I am blessed to have so many friends and supporters.

A special ‘thank you’ to my family. Tena, my children, and     wonderful grandchildren have been a support for me over the last       16 years in public service. It is because of them I have been able to serve my community and I appreciate their love.

I still have work to do in Raleigh. I will continue to work for Rowan County and its citizens.
